Christmas at Westy’s Restaurant (free dinner for the homeless and hungry in our community) sponsored by Lindenwood Christian Church and Operation BBQ Relief. Located at 346 N. Main @ Jackson Ave., one block west of St. Jude Children's Hospital. Serving meals 9am-1pm, "to go" from the patio. There will not be Westy's preparation on Christmas Eve. Enjoy worship and family time. Help is needed most on Christmas Day from 11:30am-2pm for serving and clean up. Cash donations are appreciated as food and supply items needed are very specific. $20 provides 6 meals. You’re invited to our Annual Congregational Meeting on Wednesday, December 17. We’ll enjoy a meal together at 6:00 p.m., followed by the meeting at 6:30 p.m. During this time, members will vote on new elders, deacons, board members, and the 2026 church budget. To help everyone engage more deeply with the budget and ask questions in a relaxed setting, we’re also offering two budget workshops in the conference room, on Wednesday, December 10 at 5:30 p.m., and on Sunday, December 14 at 12:30 p.m.

Our Advent Shadows Service will take place on Wednesday, December 10, at 6:30 p.m. This service is designed to provide a space for reflection, comfort, and healing for all who may find the Christmas season difficult, due to grief, loss, loneliness, or other struggles. However, this service is open to anyone, not just those experiencing grief, as it serves as a reminder that God’s love and comfort are available to all. In word, song, and silence, we will be reminded of the hope and light of Christ that shines even in the darkest of times. Please join us.

A Spectacular Christmas will take place on Sunday, December 7 at 7:00pm. We will be joined again with the First Memphis Sanctuary Choir, directed by Larry Ed-wards, and orchestra. You will not want to miss this concert, which includes some of your favorite Christmas carols, and some of which will become your favorites. Among the pieces on the concert is the stirring “Christmas Overture,” by Samuel Coleridge Taylor, a British composer of African descent. This year, our children will perform a “One Day Play” Christmas Pageant. It will be a great time to come and witness the spontaneity and improvisational skills of many in our congregation. The performance will be at 3pm in the Young Hearts Chapel on Saturday December 6. We will have light refreshments and time for you to mingle with our amazing performers after. You can let Miss Laren know you are coming or just show up at 1 ready to get parts, run through it once, and then let your children be the stars!

Please bring a knife and cutting board. This is a family friendly event. Thanksgiving Day cooking starts at 6:30am outdoors. Dress accordingly. Serving is 8:15am—1:00pm.
