Easter Egg Hunt
Lindenwood hosts an annual Easter Egg Hunt for the children in our neighborhood. We provide a safe space for these kids to experience the love of Jesus. Volunteers are needed to help us provide for food, games, face painting, and more to children from Peabody School, our neighborhood, Life Center, child care, and our church families.

Lindenwood's Donut Brigade is just that. In the morning, at least once or twice a year (usually in the winter months) we set up on Union Avenue in front of the church and pass out coffee and donuts to those commuters who pass by on their way to work.
Souper Bowl Sunday
We look forward to next Year’s Souper Bowl Sunday. Last year over 25 different groups or individuals brought soup for our tasting enjoyment and over $750 was raised. Since 1990, over 3,000 different organizations participated in the 2019National Souper Bowl Day of Caring – raising a total of $5,149,844. Souper Bowl Sunday occurs on the same Sunday as the NFL Super Bowl game.

Adopt a School - Peabody & Sharpe Elementary
Lindenwood ministers to students, teachers, and administrators at these two elementary schools. Lindenwood hosts an annual school supply drive for Peabody School to provide supplies to over 150 students and teachers. And Angel Tree gifts during Christmas. We also provide snacks once a month for their staff meetings. We provide supplies to Sharpe Elementary teachers during the week of Valentines and a Christmas party for the kids and families in December.
Volunteer tutors make learning fun and provide students with extra time on learning tasks as well as provide a positive role model. Research consistently shows that one-on-one tutoring has a significant and long-lasting impact on student achievement. Volunteers must attend a two- hour tutor-training session and then commit to one hour per week at Peabody School. Training will begin in the Fall (2019).
