Dr. Buck is currently reading Inside the Large Church by Susan Beaumont and When Moses Meets Aaron: Staffing and Supervision in Large Congregations by Gil Rendle and Susan Beaumont. He is also looking forward to a winter re-reading of Blue Highways by William Least Heat Moon and Pilgrim at Tinker Creek by Annie Dillard. His “guilty pleasure” reading, scheduled for the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day is 11/22/63 by Stephen King – an unusual story about a man who travels back in time to prevent the assassination of JFK (what person interested in U.S. History could resist such a novel?). Buck is currently serving the Tennessee Region of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) as part of the Regional Transformation Team and as a member of the Commission on Ministry. He is also busy writing Pentecost and Everything After, a Sunday School curriculum that is lectionary based and covers the period from Pentecost to the beginning of the Advent Season.
