Isaiah 40:21-31
The Jews were facing a long, difficult journey back home. Isaiah reminded them of God’s greatness to help them to put everything in proper perspective. He gave them examples of God’s wisdom, power, and mercy, superior to anything accomplished by any other nation and their gods. God is greater than the world. When we feel that we are too small for Him to notice, remember that He knows everything. He gives power to the faint, and strengthens the powerless. Isaiah 40:29
The Jews complained to God, insinuating that He did not know their problems and could care less. They felt He was asking too much of them to make the long journey back home. There are times when we may feel the same way when the road gets rough. Instead of praising God for all He continues to do for all of us, we complain. We must always trust Him to provide us with the strength and know how to face our problems. Our journey through life begins with one step. Take it with faith in God.
