Julia Turner

As the Executive Minister, Julia loves interacting and huddling with her staff, from custodial to child care that includes financials and facility operations. She also enjoys learning more and more about how the church operates, the buildings and ways to make the facility “Showroom Ready” while empowering the team and building relationships with vendors to make this happen. She began in this role January 1, 2021.

With no biological children of her own Julia’s people are her mother, 4 sisters and 5 nieces, extended family, and a few odd friends. A native of Tennessee, Julia grew up in Memphis and left for a work career while pursuing professional basketball. Started a computer science degree from an HBCU, LeMoyne-Owen College in Memphis, as a student-athlete. Having to reroute after tragedy she finished with a Bachelor of Science in Management from DeVry University. Now she is a lifelong student of learning.

Julia began her coaching career coaching a 8-10 year old boys’ competitive basketball team and still enjoys opening the gym to this day. She has coached on a collegiate level and played on a semi-professional level. She spends most of her time working on construction ideas.
